Thought Aimee was ranked, when did she lose it?

Aimee and Frankie lost but Manisha won 6-2 6-2

Laura still to play.

(Think Aimee only had three counters, The O, so one rolled off and she lost her ranking).

Yes, Aimee has been unranked since her Barnstaple qualification point from last year came off on 14th September.

Her counters are now two July 10K one pointers from Shark El Sheikh. So she at least has a big period now to add back at least a third counter.

This has got to be the most annoying event in ages. The Brit girls have swarmed here - a million lemmings can't be wrong.

The qualies are facing a round of 64 when they could have gone to to other places and been in the main draw after 1 win.

If Sarah Beth and Laura D had gone elsewhere they would have been seeded. Sarah Beth will likely face the the 1 seed next. If Laura D wins her R1 she will likely face the the 2 seed.

Last week they got 1 singles and 1 doubles pt  between the lot of them. They're really going to struggle to beat that this week.

What is the thinking behind this no

Well, it makes sense for Manisha and Laura S and Frankie because they are here as part of the Soto team (with JWH, Lloyd, the Bothwell lads, Osgar what's-his-name etc. etc.)

So they're traveling and training and playing as a group.

And, to be honest, Beth is VERY cautious in where she travels to - doesn't seem to like it and doesn't go anywhere 'exotic'. And, having got her first point in 12 months from an overseas tournament, she's done OK.

Laura D is more surprising because I don't think there's any particular reason she should be in Heraklion, is a bit more adventurous and she's often chosen well.
