James Ward Coach Darren Tandy

Firstly, if this is the wrong place please move

Darren Tandy, who is James Ward's coach - is quite poorly

He has cancer :( he is determind to fight it (and being in Australia I understand they will throw literally everything at it)

He has been unwell since the US Open

He's having Chemo atthe moment and is talking to Wardy regularly   The Poor lad has had this to cope with whilst trying to win tennis matches!

There is a groupcard if anyone wanted to sign it  - I started the card, I knew the news but I had promised not to say anything until it was officially released

Thanks for sharing this, Glenys. All best wishes to Mr Tandy .... and all hopes that he is getting the support he needs. It's good to know about, too, with respect to Mr Ward - not at all an easy situation for him to be in.

I posted a reply to this hours ago - or thought I did, I must have not pressed submit. Best wishes to Tandy and his family, and to James too - it can't be easy to cope with this and concentrate on his tennis at the same time.
