I've heard nothing about any Kyle injury. Some of us though did express more concern about a possible return of what caused him such lethargy a couple of years ago and remained undiagnosed.

I can't imagine that he would have any wish to shut down early this year with the Davis Cup Final, but if for his health that would be another matter.

Edit : and Kyle does look short of having banked an Australian Open MD place. My sceptical views as to any real supposed benefit by "experiencing" qualifying for Kyle at this stage would be as for the US Open, and I'd be very surprised if Kyle did not want to be in the MD. So, all in all, this is not a time to be winding down early, so something's up.

My fears have increased over the last two weeks but still, we haven't heard anything definitive. However, following two performances where to me, Kyle simply didn't look himself, we have now seen two withdrawals, so clearly, something isn't right.

Whatever the situation, I feel confident that Kyle and his team will make the right decision for the long term and if that means resting for the remainder of the year (including missing out on the DC final) then so be it.
