As this article (posted in the Entries thread) indicates, all of Mr Norrie's university team are, I think, playing - as are all of the Oklahoma team: www.star-telegram.com/sports/other-sports/article37405572.html

Rough draw for Mr Broady in the first round. Mr Norrie also has a nastier challenge in the FQR than it would first appear: Mr Nguyen just graduated this year and has barely played professional tennis ... hence lack of ranking. But it could be worse: Korolev v Uchida in the 1st round of a futures seems a bit unfair!

Shouldn't be a particularly rough draw for Liam if he is getting anything like back towards his best form and has acclimatised after dashing over from Turkey.

Certainly hope he can have another big run this week and all the best to Cameron as well.

It's part of the TCU tennis teams Autumn schedule. This is a good bit of scheduling for Liam as long as he copes with the jet lag! I think he practiced with Cam at TCU last year and they have great facilities by UK standards. Wish them well, as chance should have it left Dallas on Saturday school boy error!

R1:  (WC) Timothy Chima Ihezie & Michael Antoine Gad (USA/USA) UNR vs Liam Broady & Ashley Fisher (AUS) UNR (*)

(*)  Liam's current doubles ranking is 385, while Fisher hasn't one, though he's 40 & his doubles CH is 19 (June 2009)...

Goodness. Haven't seen Fisher's name in ages. Isn't he retired and coaching?

On the singles front, with qualifiers placed, Mr Broady could meet  Axel Alvarez Llamas in the 2nd round. QF could actually be Mr Norrie; SF could be Korolev.

Liam + Ashley F just won their doubles 6 - 1, 6 - 0.

*****

QF:  Liam Broady & Ashley Fisher (AUS) UNR vs Nick Chappell & Dane Webb (USA/USA) CR 2100 (885+1215)

The Yanks conveniently despatched the Mexican third seeds, Gómez & Hank, almost as easily as Liam & Ashley (2 & 1) in their first-round match.

Both Chappell and Webb have been at university, I think, and both are seriously underranked.

Strong start from Liam who is already up a double break in the 1st set at *3-0 winning 12 of the 14 points played so far.
