Mason is 18yo and currently at #111 in the AEGON Combined British Rankings.

Also a big welcome return to Maniel - haven't seen him around for a year or so, not even in French league.

He wasn't in the Acceptance list so must have signed up as a wildcard.

Last ITF tournament Maniel played was at Edgbaston in October 2013...

Well, the coach couldn't but the pupil did

Maniel lost against the top Q seed 3-6 3-6

Mason won against the 5th Q seed 6-2 6-0

So into the MD for Mason . . .
