Brayden Schnur is very good indeed and is still at university (hence his low ranking). Given that Mr Cox will have had to travel, this might be a more interesting match than it looks on paper.

Thanks, Specator, all in all I am thinking so "interesting" as to be pretty concerning and a good match to win.
I don't know. But he's beaten Gosea twice, and, looking at his record in greater depth, beat Bemelmans in Qualifying at the Montreal Masters (before getting thumped by Yen-Hsun Lu. Not quite there yet!) Losses are mainly to fairly decent players. So at the least, it's not a run-of-the-mill "player in the 700s" draw.
Brydan took the first set 6-2.
But lost the second 0-6
Is a break down and has just fluffed break-back points in the third
But as I write has now got one, so 2-2
Good to get through, but while prize money is welcome, Brydan needs to progress further to make any real ranking points progress. His current 18th best is 6 points ( second only to Andy among Brits so good consistency ), winning R1 here is worth 7 points therefore increases his points so far by a net 1 ( and 7 points will become his 18th best for next week ).
Actually, as far as I can see, only 4 British men have a full set of counters : Andy, Brydan, Josh Milton and Richard Gabb.

Bryan only about 100 points behind Ward now in my prediction of Konta and Klein to be ahead of Watson and Ward. In my opinion on their day and potential wise the two Ks are better players going forward overall than the two Ws
