It'll be 2 points for a R1/L16 doubles win

Thought it was only 1 - don't see many doubles scores with 2 - but well done - will take her up 15+ places smile

Very good on both counts

It's clearly at times been very difficult for Sabrina, but she keeps on at it. Well done !

PS : I hadn't been aware of it, but I notice from the ITF site a big gap in Sabrina's competition activity from June last year to June this. Anyone know if she was injured or any other reason for the year out ?

I read (I think on here) that she'd gone to Italy to persue a coaching career. Still, it's a hell of a win - when I saw the draw I thought that that would be that - so I'm both pleased and stunned smile

Sabrina had a ganglion on her wrist and had surgery to remove it late August last year

I see that you are having difficulty believing me about the 2 points for doubles, strongbow

Essentially, you get the same points as a R1 singles exit if you exit in R1 of the doubles, hence say 1 point for a R1 exit in a 25K and 0 if she'd lost in R1 in this 10K.

But if you win at least one doubles round you get the same points as a singles player losing similarly close to the finishing line.

10K, losing in the QF of the singles or doubles = 2 points ( even though it generally just requires one win to reach that stage in doubles )
