A strong line up for this event with the likes of Bloomfield, Smethurst, Marsalek, Salisbury, Goodall, Willis and Farquharson all in attendance. Carpenter playing again and don't forget to look out for Marcus Walters!
With mens' and mixed doubles it'll be like a mini Wimbledon.
With £2000 for the winner competition will be intense. Well worth going if you can.
Wow with prize money the same as for getting to challenger semi no wonder they all stayed at home this week. Although Marsi played qualifiers overseas he seems to travel a lot I'm assuming he's funded from somewhere
Draws are all on the LTA website, very strong in both men and womens singles. Josh Goodall got Harry Skinner first round! Both Dunne and Dart have entered the ladies.
Certainly would be good to see Slimline back on the circuit. I was presuming there was more point in losing so much weight than playing county week, and some suggested that that week was more just getting some good playing time in before err not getting back on the circuit
Been missing a good period where he he had nothing to defend. It is permitted to take advantage and try to push up the rankings in such periods.
The top four seeds all have byes: (1) Marcus Willis (3) Tom Farquharson (4) James Marsalek (WC) (5) Joe Salisbury (6) Jack Carpenter (7) Marshall Tutu (8) Jamie Whiteford (9) Marcus Walters
Not sure where the 2nd seed got to.
The qualifiers are as follows:
Patrick Koscielski (who won his R1 match against Kyle Fellows yesterday) Jamie Malik (who was knocked out by Adam Thornton-Brown yesterday) James Oni (LL) Charlie Joe Croxford Jonathan Gray Mason Recci Alexander Gasson Lamar Bartley Neil Cordon
Some of the more interesting match-ups include, as mentioned above, Goodall vs Skinner and Bloomers vs Keelan Oakley.

Mr Bloomfield is 32. Unlike most of the others, he is not currently attempting to play on the tour. He's 8 years past his career high. And he still made it to the QFs. I stand by my sigh.
Always felt that he could have done so much more had he not had so many injury issues. And of course, even as was, at his career high, he was higher ranked than anyone now playing other than our very top players (Mr Murray, Mr Ward, Mr Edmund, Mr Broady and Mr Bedene - though Mr Evans and Mr Klein also have higher CHs)
In these types of tournaments, I find myself supporting those that are active on the ATP tour as the extra funding they win here will help their schedule. Nothing against the other players personally, but I just want to see those players fighting to improve their ranking get as much financial help as possible, particularly where they have earned that help through their on court endeavours.
Given that statement, I am pleased to see the wins for Joe and Jathan in particular.
