Are the women not like the men, where you don't get a SE if moving to a higher grade tournament ?

I was expecting Laura to be in qualies here, but she is using her last (I think) ITF main draw wildcard instead.
JoKo is also in the main draw acceptance list, which is very bunched with players ranked from 86-140.

This is so so sad. I think the Zheng and Min losses just killed her confidence. She's been nowhere these past few weeks.

Maybe it is time to take a decent break and then think about cracking top 100 doubles. Hate seeing her put in singles showings like this. She must be exasperated.

And that's 9 losses on the trot with a heavy 60 63 loss. I dont think anything can be said right now. Shes not in a good place with her game.

Difficult to know how Em is feeling.

She clearly generally loves competing in both singles and doubles and who is anyone to suggest she shouldn't or send her to much more exclusively doubles ( though something, yes, in time that she may contemplate to extend her pro career ).

But certainly I am sure she'd like to be playing a heck of a lot better so it would look to be a good idea for Duracell Webley-Smith to take a bit of a break for a recharge.
