I really appreciate your incite, knowledge and dedication to British sport and enjoy reading your posts but recently....there are some posts that are verging on offensive to players, supporters of players and posters. I love hearing posts of people watching live games and their opinions. However, it*s getting tiring of attacks on players based on *live scores* and reputations. It*s kind of cyber bullying. btw my apostrophe isn*t working. Also, dont get me started on the undercurrent racism issues..... people are eligible get over it

Whilst I don't think it classes at cyber bullying, Im not really a fan of the waves of negativity that inevitably comes after certain players lose (Evo and Wardy come to mind). Objective criticism is always encouraged but unfortunately a lot of it tends to go beyond that, particularly as you said on matches where all people see are the live scores
Absolute nonsense. It's a discussion forum where people discuss success and sadly failure. If we didn't have Andy Murray and Tim Henman before him I think you would find criticism worse than any here. Saying someone has a poor forehand is not an attack. Ridiculous. I think you will find just as much praise as criticism. See Jo thread for example
I think you're right Jiwan but only in a minor way. Usually Steven would kill them a welcoming kindness that was impossible to be rude to and it would not evolve. Steven is away, I truely believe all want Brits to do well but, frustrations/disappointment creeps into peoples attitude.
At least you will never be guilty of it as I don't think its possible to be rude/insult/offend when your apostrophe is not working
I never even got as far a reading that last bit. There has be no evidence of racism anywhere in this forum. Give examples If you are trying to make allegations of bullying an racism.
It's a forum for people to express and discuss their opinions on British Tennis players. Everything isn't going to be positive and its part of being a professional sportsman to receive a certain amount of criticism. These players aren't children, a lot might not read this forum and the ones that do are old enough to understand it comes with the territory. To call it cyber bullying is complete rubbish imo.

I took that as a reference to some posters' reactions to the recent changes of allegiance of some people (Bedene, Klein...).
it is indeed a forum lol however, we have had three male world class players over 20 years. I sometimes feel there an expectation to live to this. That is tough for guys who are struggling to make a living at at 25 when they have had a fraction of support, forum or otherwise at this this age
This site has always been superb in the courtesy shown to each others and their views. We may see the same point as black and white yet, only recently have the discussions become littered with "your talking rubbish" type responses.
This forum is sooooo mild compared to anything else on the net, nothing said here causes me the slightest offence but I do think its a shame that the totally unique politeness shown here is ever so slightly eroding.
I sort of understand what you mean Jiwan in terms of negativity, but I don't always agree.
It can be frustrating when people second guess based on scorelines when games are not streamed or make assumptions without backup.
A lot of the players read the forum and you can see some of the frustrations that this causes i.e Dan Cox with all the rubbish about his car, Katy Dunne about her serve etc
I've no problems with constructive criticism when streamed or with some knowledge behind it.
Also some people's sense of humour don't always come across in the way they intended. I'm sure Jaggy's - Bogdanovic quip is supposed to be funny, but I find it mildly offensive to both Alex and any player mentioned in the quip.

I can't really take anything you say seriously when you type rubbish like that.
On a slight tangent i think the problem woth bedene is that i like the guy i like his attitude i want him to do well but because i havnt followed his rise up the rankings to the top 100 i dont have the same passion when following his matches
