Looking at those I would say Ed has a great chance simply because Munoz de la Nava was playing in the final of a clay court challenger only a few hours ago. Decent draw for Evo and Milts while Bloomers is certainly capable of causing an upset. Rotten draws for Gabb and Cox and so so for Ward.
Extremely heavy rain in SW London last night, I can't imagine there is much chance of them starting on time, even with the protection of covers . It is still drizzling and showing no signs of stopping. I've looked at Wimbledon.com but can't find any mention of delayed start times. Does anyone know better?
Don't think they have any covers (can't remember seeing any but that's possibly because the weather was OK and so they hadn't put them out). Can't imagine they have covers for all the courts though.
I think calling would be best, if there's nothing on the website.
I can't go this morning (and don't know about later in the afternoon, not certain, so am going to wait and see from the scores if they get going).
Am in a cafe about 3 miles away 'working' and hoping to slope off to Roehampton about lunchtime but feels like it's about to rain now - definitely a bit of moisture in the air.
Yeah I'm about 6 miles away in Twickenham and its raining here. Think I'll leave till it stops/brightens up before making a move. Do they ever move them indoors to the NTC?
I'm in Teddington - steady rain at the moment. Re. moving inside, I'm not sure - it would be problematic as there are so many matches to play and only a handful of indoor courts. They have time in hand though - it isn't really a problem if there are some matches played as late as the weekend.
