Week 24 - ATP 500 (Queen's) - London, UK - Grass

Qualies draw is out.  16 strong, 3 wild cards and Brydan Klein is the only Brit, Paul Henri-Mathieu and Jared Donaldson being the other two.

For the record (didn't expect anyone to have beaten me to it!):

QR1:  (qWC) Brydan Klein WR 188 (CH = 174 in June 2009) vs (q5) Steve Darcis (BEL) WR 76 (CH = 44 in May 2008)

Unsurprisingly, they've never met before.  Tough, tough, tough... disbelief

Darcis beat Nadal at Wimbo a few years back if I'm not mistaken...?

Anyone who can duff up the biggest cheat in professional sports is good in my book. Means I have split loyalties on this one.

In the first round the year before last (7-6(4) 7-6(8) 6-4), hence my disbelief .

BUT BUT BUT Brydan beat the British Number Two barely a week ago. So they're basically even. wink

Care to quantify the biggest cheat in professional sport?

Am I missing something here?

Brydan will only win if he can catch Darcis cold... Unlikely.

It's between Lance Armstrong and Robbie Savage, the later did loads of shirt pulling and shin kicking only to dive to the floor everything a gust of wind blew past him. Now he's all over the Telly like butter wouldn't melt in his mouth, outrageous.

More importantly good to see Brydan earn the chance to have a crack at a top 100 player after a good week last week,.

To be fair to Savage, he admits he was a sh*t on the pitch.

If its related to Nadal and stupid steroid rumours, I saw him play Lee Childs as a 16-17 year old in 2003 and he had arms like tree trunks as a child.

While I appreciate many wouldn't care for a lot of what Savage often got up to I find him very honest about what he used to get up to ( very calculatingly - goodness knows how often booked, but I believe just once sent off ). And he's pretty good at recognising bull****.

Yes, as a pundit I find his manner too often OTT and I can only take him in small doses, but that's a different mattter.

And I really do think that lumping in pro footballerers trying to get away with what they can on the pitch with drug cheats or say corruption rather ludicrous.

I could explain, but your right it is ludicrous.
