Taisiya only played one match between Nov 2013 and March 2015, so her win against Yasmina was her first win for over a year.

Having seen Hesse play, i suspect she is better on hard courts than clay and this may be a close match.

Will be interesting.

Hesse grew up on clay, playing at an all clay court club.

But certainly likes to think of herself as a hard court player (all pace and power, not too much of this nasty, sweaty running-around stuff).

However, I sometimes think she actually plays better on clay - doesn't spray the ball around quite so much, not going for winners off every ball, and has slightly more time on the ball to get positioned a bit better.

It's a lot to do with 'between the ears' stuff for Amandine . . .

Just missed 3 break points for a *5-0 lead in the second, now *4-1
