1st rd K Edmund (3) v Bye

2nd rd K Edmund (3) v WC EAZOR, Nate,USA

(2nd match championship crt nb. 11.30)

winner will play winner of J. Benitez Chavarriaga, Col v A. Rublev, Rus (8) for a place in main draw and 5 ranking pts

 

p.s. first time done one of these hope did it ok as saw draw and noticed it not done.

Thanks - AUS time is better than UK time for picking up these Californian draws

Just adding in rankings:

QR2: (q3) Kyle Edmund WR 153 v (wc) Nate Eazor UNR (16yo, junior CH 1744)

Eazor's only previous senior match was against Damir Dzumhur in QR1 last year - the Bosnian won 0 & 1.

Good to see Kyle back in action. Hopefully his injury at the end of his pretty intensive and successful Australian swing has settled and all guns are firing for an assault on the rankings this spring. Good luck to him.

he's got a WC to Miami next week so hopefully get some good match practice and a few points too - expecting a v strong field when the draw comes out though. Wonder if James is in?

there were only 3 matches in the 1st round qualifying !

if I've worked it out correctly Kyle ought to be on court around 16.30 UK time

I don't think Wardy will even be seeded for this, which is weird for a Challenger.

seems ATP relax the rules on entries for this one, almost atp250 quality field

 He's 100 % as far as I know, had a quick chat with him after Wardy's epic 15-13 win in the 5th set at the DC, when part of him was thinking could be a while before I can force my way into the singles lineup at DC given how well Wardy is performing ! A tiny little bit bittersweet.

 It's always loaded as players enter who enter Indian Wells(q & main draw) and don't expect to get through the first couple of rounds. It not that far away either.
