Ed is playing doubles with Kuznetsov.

They've got the Belgian duo, Authom & Bemelmans, in the first round.

Yes, 3rd time lucky for Donati against Ed, sadly - maybe last week's run to the title took a lot out of him.

L32: Ed Corrie WR 246 lost to (Q) Matteo Donati (ITA) WR 416 (CH 284 last Aug) by 3 & 2

'In Drummondville for a challenger this week. Not a good start today. I went down to Matteo Donati (ITA), who I played in the quarters last week, 63 62. Lost the rhythm on my serve which threw off lots of my patterns and let him dictate play. Disappointing, but it was always going to be a tall order against a quality player after a quick turn round. Not going to analyse things too much, just going to get on the practice court tomorrow and then fire it up in the doubs tomorrow night with Alex Kuznetsov!'

That's a rather nice QF win. Good points, too.

No joy in the semi final losing via a MTB

There was an 87 shot rally here in the singles QF between Kevin King and JP Smith.

King was serving at 3-3 *15-40 in the third set. He eventually won the point but double faulted the following point and lost the set 6-3.

Oh dear, that may have been a tad annoying. Saving a first BP in an 87 point rally and then double faulting on the second one at such an important stage !!

Many congratulations if his racquet remained in one piece !
