Re Italy, specifically they are into a World Group Play-Off tie later this year. Win that and they retain their place in the World Group for next year, lose it and they drop into Euro / Africa Group One.
Re Kazakhstan, they now face Australia ( conquerers of the Czech Republic ) in the QFs, the winners to play the winners of GB/USA vs France.
So looking ahead and ahead / ahead ( oh, why not )
QF : If we beat the US, we would be at home to France in July.
SF : If we beat the US and then France, in September we would either play Australia ( that would be a home tie ) or Kazakhstan ( venue drawn by lot )

I think if we play it on grass we will beat the french and face the Aussies ! But what ever happens back in top group next year and surely our ITF team ranking will improve !
