All those with points to add from Glasgow will have to wait. So that the Elite Trophy and WTA Finals points are added at the same time, the WTA are not updating the rankings this week.
Mimi smashes her CH to enter the top 750 at 745. Welcome to see Matilda climb over 100 places to 707 Hannah K climbs to a new career high and enters the world's top 700 at 654 Millie R also climbs to be just outside the top 700.
The GB top 10 looks set for 2023 with none of them due to drop points for the rest of the year. Those just outside the top 10 do have points dropping over the next few weeks so would need to cover them and add points to break into the top 10.
Congratulations to Mika Stojsavljevic who enters the rankings at 1027 and takes us up to 42 ranked women. Decent climbs for Beth, Emilie, Alice and Emma Wilson.

Thanks Lamda. Considering AO qualifying, Katie and Jodie qualify as of right to the main draw, but would the cut-off be Sonay, or would she need to go up a few more places?
I was looking at AO qualifying last night. Whether Sonay makes it will depend on how many enter with a PR. I think the final cut-off this year was 232. That is quite high for the AO as there was a lot of PRs being used. I think usually it would be in the 240s.
I think Sonay is rehabbing so probably won't play again before the cutoff week for qualifying (18 Dec).
Main climber this week is Emilie, up to a CH of 442, as her RU points from Solarino and QF points from Funchal are added. That is an increase of 210 places since the beginning of the month. Ranah is up 55 places to 790 as her RU points from Monastir a couple of weeks ago are added.
Since the last post, we welcome Bronte Murgett and Kath Barnes to the WTA rankings on 27 November and 18 December respectively.
We finish 2023 with 44 WTA ranked women, 3 more than last year and the most at the end of a calendar year in recent history, and a further 15 unranked with WTA points. We have 2 in the top 100 (same as last year), 5 in the top 200 (down 2 from last year) and 9 in the top 300 (up 1 from last year). It is worth noting that 3 of the 4 in the 201-300 rankings have been absent with injuries for long periods this year and we would expect them to be at least in the top 200 if fit and playing regularly.
The first rankings of 2024 sees several small position changes due to the increase to 18 counters counting towards the rankings. Unfortunately for the British women, it mostly sees them fall a few places.
The biggest British winner is Matilda, climbing 11 positions with having a 17th and 18th counter (each of 1 pt) which most of those around her don't have. Harriet adds the most points (26) with 2 counters of 13 pts, but it only moves her up 1 place.
As per usual before a Grand Slam, the rankings are out on Sunday. Nothing to note this week as only the 2 Katies and Marni add points (and unranked Sam gets her first singles WTA counter since her return). Freya is the only one to drop points this week. We can look forward to some significant movements pending from points gained this week to be added after the Australian Open.

With AO, Loughborough and Sunderland points added there are a few climbers. Most notably is Ranah's run through qualifying and to the SF run taking her up 86 places to a career high WR663. Ella adds a welcome 4 points from Loughborough, moving her up 118 places to WR1099. Harriet edges closer to the top 100 up to WR104, 2 places behind Jodie.
Lots of movements so I'll just post the full list.
