In November, biggest climber up the T25 rankings was Emily Appleton up +7 places to GB#17, followed by Maia up +3 places to GB#15. Biggest faller was Amanda down -4 to GB#18 followed by Katie Swan down -3 to GB#6.
So i'm pretending the next two weeks don't exist and posting the final Top25 chart for the year now.
As mentioned elsewhere, the first table lists the current Top25 players in order of their rank, with the 2nd column of the table showing how that position has changed since the start of the year. Emma is one of 3 players to maintain the same GB ranking for the whole year (Katie, Naiktha and Emilie also have a net move of 0, but they did move up and down throughout the year). The second table is the players ordered from biggest climber to biggest faller and also includes those players who were in the Top25 at the start of the year, but have since fallen out of the Top25 (Sam, Tara, Katie, Alicia). But not those have dropped so far that they are now unranked (like Fran, Naomi, Emily and Gabby).
Congrats to Emma who "finishes" the year as GB#1, and Amarni who managed to climb 27 places up the GB chart over the period.
Beth down to 455. Her health has been the issue this year. Hope that she gets fitter and then is able to tackle the tennis. She was improving in her singles
Marni drops out of the top-500, leaving us with only 16 now
Only 1 in the top-100 too
However, Sonay is back in the top-200, which boosts that number
And Eden has (just) cracked the top-300

Frustrating with Jodie's injury coming now. She's not defending that many points from the early part of last season and has already surpassed last season's total for the period until the end of February. Since most of her points last season came from June onwards, you'd have to think she had a decent shot at getting very near to the top 100 before the grass court season.
It's 1984 since we ended a year with any more than the current 8 Brits in the top 200 and during the last 40 years we have rarely been anywhere near that number. Overall it remains a historically very decent crop of mainly still pretty young players for us to follow..
But I am sure we all wish that some more would make that step into the top 100. It often feels like one step forward then two steps back.
So January was a pretty quiet month for movement in the GB Top25. Biggest climber was Jasmine up +2 places to GB#20, with the biggest faller Sarah Beth, down -2 places to GB#16.
