This week's rankings determine who makes the Roland Garros main draw. Harriet drops 1 place to fall out of the top 100 to WR101, while Heather's single qualifying win in Charleston moves her up 1 to WR104. How many women enter Roland Garros with a protected ranking will be important in deciding whether Harriet and Heather make the main draw. Last year, the initial cut off for RG main draw was WR101 and the final cut off at the draw was WR104(SR). Harriet should just scrape in the main draw when it comes out this week, but Heather may need to wait for withdrawals before making the main draw. That win in Charleston moving her up 1 place could yet be a crucial win in her making the RG main draw as it effectively moves her up 3 places for tournament entry, placing her above Saville (nee Gavrilova) and Baindl (nee Kozlova) who both have a protected ranking of 104.
The other story of this week is Jodie falling 53 places to WR262. This comes about because of the double whammy of having last year's Dubai title points dropping and the remaining 50% of 2019 finalist (with qualifying) points from Bolton dropping. These 50 and 16 point counters are replaced by the 8 point counter from the W60 in Pretoria a couple of weeks ago and a 7 point counter. Her two week trip to South Africa netted her a single point from what she would have had without them. She is now likely to miss out on Roland Garros qualifying. Last year Jodie was last in to RG qualifying with a WR240. If she wants to make it again this year, anything less than the final in Nottingham this week will not be good enough.
Finishing on a positive, Emma Wilson enters the rankings at WR1342. We now have 39 ranked women.

Live Tennis also does a similar thing with their 5 week forecasts showing who is losing what
https://live-tennis.eu/en/forecast-wta-ranking
I prefer the overall layout and structure of live tennis and it is also what TNNS uses as their partner , so it works best for me. I struggle with the format and look and feel of OpenEra but it does provide a lot more detail for those who crave it. Coric I dont really know much about, the name puts me off!!!
I guess it is horses for courses - I think at one time , Openera was more accurate than Live Tennis, but I dont hear much complaining these days so assume they are all more aligned
