As someone who reads this board most days (without contributing much!), I would like to echo everyone. Steven's contribution is immense and much appreciated. It is great for contextualising individual results, and for getting at extra information.

Having said that, don't rush back Steven. Your health is the most important thing, and I hope you are on an upward trajectory.

This thread is now the first thing I check on this board!

I hope things are improving, Steven. All the best!

Just wanted to add my best wishes and hope Steven is back with us soon, he's very much missed and the efforts he puts in are much appreciated by many I'm sure.

Just another admirer and well wisher.
Sure, I miss the tables and the tweets, but only a billionth as much as I miss him.
Best wishes, sir, and hope to see you back at some point when, for whatever reason, you feel up to it.

Thank you

Steven can quit British tennis for good, as long as he's okay. As has been said many times, his absence is felt constantly and I wish him the very best.

Absolutely bloody disgraceful. Being ill and having things to do away from providing tennis info and stats, next thing you will be saying that he has a life of his own. Completely unacceptable, somebody needs to have a word.

Chug ... chug ... whirr ... splutter ... it doesn't half take the Count a long time to get someone out to fix my broken circuits these days! (you may need to be an old hand on the forum to understand that one ...)

Seriously, I feel such a fraud because I was only ill for a couple of days. Unfortunately, real work has got on top of me, not to mention that my life has been turned upside down in the last week in both good and bad ways - the bad ways mainly my fault, of course.

I kept meaning to get last week's T25 tables up and come back here but I just haven't had the chance and a couple of days has quickly turned into more than a week. Not that I thought anyone would notice that much and I'm very touched (not to mention rather embarrassed) that so many of you have noticed and have written such kind things here. Thank you, you are an exceptionally good bunch of people - though that's no surprise, it's why I ended up being here in the first place and staying here for almost 10 years (and counting)!

I very reluctantly cancelled my DC plans last week (thanks, daisy - I'm guessing from your note here that you did have someone to pass on the tickets to - if not, no problem) in order to give myself a chance to get back on track. Given that the previous tie I most regret not being at was the last time we played the USA at home in 1999, which I only saw on TV, you can imagine how much I wanted to be at this one. They'd better win so we get a home QF in July!

I am hoping to start getting first last week's and then this week's GB top 25 tables updated in the next couple of days and then maybe start sending the odd tweet again, though it might be a while before I start posting much here again (some of you will be very relieved, I imagine wink) and then I'll just see how it goes. If I have to cut down a bit, I will (in a way, having missed a week makes it easier to reassess), with the T25 tables the top priority.

I'll pick up on any singles titles from last week when I update the T25 tables (I think I noticed that Brydan won one in AUS) but if anyone could be kind enough to let me know who won doubles (e.g. Fran, I think?) or junior titles last week, I would be very grateful - it would save me a bit of time hunting through last week's draws or threads. I just need the details that would go on the http://www.britishtennis.net/stats/2015m.htm?n=1, http://www.britishtennis.net/stats/2015f.htm?n=1 and http://www.britishtennis.net/stats/2015j.htm?n=1 tables.

Thanks again, everyone, and I'm sorry if I inadvertently worried anyone!

Oh, you not been on here, Steve, can't say I noticed, ha ...

You take care and just bother about coming on this place and tables etc when it can fit in with the more important things in life ( not that I don't love the top 25 tables et all - but they can wait their turn! )

PS : Steven ( or whatever your name is ), I'm happy to go about providing these details of title winners later this evening.

Just to avoid any duplication ...

Looking at the tiles in 2015 for mens i see your missing Darren Walsh partnered by Ruben Gonzales in week 7 morelos, Mexico; Challenger $75000.

Edit: This meant new double career highs as follows:

02 03 15; 174

23 02 15; 175

Steven, glad to hear you are OK - Welcome back.

If you need some help with the tables now or in the future then let me know. I do have a hour or so tonight and tomorrow evening. I could always do some basic edits to the excel tables if you posted them on the britishtennis website and give them back to you in some temporary folder.

This news turned a disaster of a day into one filled with lollipops and rainbows
If there's anything I can do to help, I'll do my darnedest.

So glad you're OK. Take care.

Thanks Sim, I'll let you know. If I don't send/upload anything, it'll just be because it takes longer to explain what to do than to actually do it but I've been thinking for a while that I ought to tidy up the way the tables are done and write some step by step instructions so that I could potentially leave them to someone else to do sometimes. Hopefully I'll manage to get that done by the next time I have to be away for an extended period!
