No repeat run for Jo & Maria this week. But, by my logic, that means Joko should make the singles final here. Right?

R1: Konta/Sanchez (GBR/USA) lost to Gallovits-Hall/Halbauer (ROU/USA) 7-5 2-6 [8-10]

Unfortunately, I don't think so.

The USTA Pro Circuit live-stream coverage doesn't stop at another women's event until the $50K in Dothan, AL, at the end of April.

Boom. Misses another match point but takes her fourth for a 62 63 win

She lost more points in the game at *50 (4) than she had done in the entire set up to that point.

Got away with it though :)

^ Yeah, I'm glad you ain't my coach.

A hiccup at the end, but closes out comfortably enough.
GSM Konta 6-2 6-3

Gallovits-Hall or Stojanovic next which is still on court, and quite close.

Haha it was tongue in cheek but that didn't come across well so ive changed it.

Next match will be tough on current form.

Nik picks up her first doubles win of the year with a 10-7 in the MTB clincher.

Good stuff, Nik.

I do get the impression that she ( and partners ) manages to lose an inordinate number of close matches and indeed I've noticed her lose quite a number from very strong looking positions.

So, good to get that doubles win and hopefully the first of many this year.
