RE: Glasgow - cancelled ?

This has been causing lots of confusion on Twitter this week - the men's Futures event here was cancelled to make way for the Challenger but the Challenger is still on. I don't think the qualifying draw comes out until tonight though.

The ITF site doesn't "do" Challengers, only Futures & below.  For Challengers you have to visit the ATP site. wink

Seems to be standard practice for any British events for some strange reason, always seems to be delays and minimal information.

David Rice, Marcus Willis and Dan Evans are all seeded in qualies (up on the ATP live score window) so I am guessing that Dan Smethurst, Dan Cox and Alex Ward received wild cards???

If Evans plays as in actually plays can't see any reason why he can't qualify and win the title here from looking at the main draw direct acceptance list

If it has gone to a Brit my money would be on Tom F - strong end to last season and made SF in sheffield

There are only 3 Wcs in qualifying, Luke Oakley, Alexis Canter and a belgian called Scott Nicolas.

Dan is 3rd seed in qualifying.

For some reason, I seem to be unable to post a direct link to the draw, but it can be viewed by clicking on the relevant link here.

What on earth are you talking about? The sign in deadline for challenger qualifying is 9PM (as per ATP rules) and the draw was posted on-line before 9:30PM. Seems pretty quick to me.
