Good win for Katy in a tight 3 setter.

Very pleased for Katy.

Morgina's been playing a lot of tennis with - overall - quite a lot of success. And Katy's lost some real close ones.

Nice she managed to get this one: 7-6(7) 6-7(1) 6-4

Survived after missing two match points in the second. Good effort after what happened last week

Think it meant a lot to Katy too:

Feel like I've just climbed over a massive mountain after last week! #fightnomatterwhat! Xmas in India!

And so nice to Emily's really congratulatory and encouraging tweets - frankly, although it's not a mantle that Em has actually signed up for, the LTA might want to consider the benefit of having 'older' British players still in the game - there's an experience and a sort of helpful, avuncular attitude in a lot of them (Em, and other nationalities) that's great for the younger players. Team spirit, LTA ?

Well done, Katy, great attitude.

As she alludes to, last week and more generally recently hasn't gone too well and it would have been easy to call it quits for the year.

Impressed :)

Yes, CD, I got the impression Emily also helped Eden Silva earlier in the year when they played doubles successfully together and then there was a real upturn in her singles.

Well Done Katy

Must be tough to be out there on her own over the Christmas holidays. Hope it pays off and Katy can sneak into the top 300 here

Well done, Ms Dunne. Bears out what Ms Watson said about her earlier this year - that she really works.

Agree on Ms Webley-Smith, who seems supportive of a number of the younger players.
