I am a Software Engineer so if your problem is software related then I should be able to help, been working in IT for 30 years. If it's hardware I have enough to update a PC ( eg with new memory or peripherals).

As an "expert" and relating to the Rankings thread, I am considering putting a database together to hold info/rankings of players, but the usual time constraint is the problem. If enough people pressure me I will be forced to do something

Just "pinching" this thread with a problem of my own: Is anybody else running the BBC Climate Control Experiment and understanding what is going on? And maybe have a clue what to do about problems? The official help message board talks in geek and leaves me cold.  Please PM me if you think you may be able to help

Sometimes its nice to resurect old threads, with an appropriate name, even if not quite the same topic now.

So thought I'd post the Telegraph's article about how the big names, and Federer, in particular, are using pricey data analytics packages to get an edge on their opponents. If you pay extra, you get an exclusivity agreement, so you can access their data but they can't get yours (from that one company, of course). At 80k and upwards, though, guess it's not for everyone.....
