Botherations. Not to be for Evan. Won the 1st point in the TB, but then lost the next 7.

He loses 7-5 4-6 7-6(1)

Good workout though and solid court time as he continues his comeback from injury.

A good win but perhaps not a big surprise - in fact, with today's (er, yesterday's) 588 place rise as his SF points from two weeks ago were added, he is now ranked ahead of Mladenov and is the second Brit in 2 weeks (after James Chaudry last week) to finally take out a singles career high that was set way back in 2010 (pre-college in both cases, presumably)

Good to see JWH playing and winning.

As for Andy B, if he can get passed the WC in round 1, his likely R2 opponent will be a certain Yannick Jankovits, who he hasn't played against since .... um .... last week, and .... um .... the week before. He will be sick of the sight of him. Third time lucky ?
