Manisha seems to have had a very consistent year. Would be good if she go to the next level.

Good to see ol' Mirabelle carrying on where she left off in the qualies - calling (AliB - my hero - are you following ? :)

And two wins in the doubles,

Mirabelle and Antonia won 6-2 4-6 10-5

Manisha and Sabino won 7-5 6-3

Manisha has lost the first set 6-3 but it's been very close.

Also very close for Mirabelle, but who's also a break down in the first .. .

QF: (6) Manisha Foster WR 644 lost to (1) Pia König (AUT) WR 403 (CH 391 last month) 6-3 6-3

Honourable score against the top seed.

Mirabelle lost the first set 6-3 but is a break up in the second (mind you , she was a break up in the second right at the start too and just traded breaks . . . )

3*-2

Two noble efforts against the odds from two very likable players, but neither will get to play it again this week in Casablanca.

QF: (Q) Mirabelle NJOZE (GBR) UNR lost to Corinna DENTONI (ITA) [4] 545 3-6 6-7(4)

PS: Yes, I know that is not the line that was said. It's, "If she can stand it, I can. Play it!"

Isn't there a 'Sam' somewhere ? Which I realise doesn't really help us with 'Manisha' or 'Mirabelle'  . . . maybe that was their problem . . .

Mirabelle is developing into a serious contender now. 4 WTA points
