Brilliant fight from the UK lads, enough to warm the ****les of any doubles fan's heart . . .

SF: (2) Scott Clayton & Richard Gabb CR 891 (488+403) def. Petros Chrysochos & Nino Serdarusic (CYP/CRO) UNR 6-2 4-6 14-12

(Feel sorry for the local lad, though, Cyprus can't have that many players, would have been nice for them to have one in the final . . .)

add: seemingly one's not allowed to write the word for the small shellfish that, along with mussels, Molly Malone sold in Dublin's fair city, through street broad and narrow, as she wheeled her wheelbarrow . . .

I feared the worst when the boys dropped the first set so easily, but I'm delighted to see that they battled back!

*****

Final:  (1) Marco Bortolotti & Erik Crepaldi (ITA/ITA) CR 835 (380+455) vs (2) Scott Clayton & Richard Gabb CR 891 (488+403)

Not a lot in it, rankings-wise, so they must be in with a chance...

19-year-old Djere was ranked no. 3 in juniors in May last year
