Abysmal. Second half of the season has been horrific for her. Anoyher example of a Brit failing to capitalise on a good Wimbledon showing.

That is truly sad.

It's been said before but I think it was a major mistake to take such an extended break after Wimbledon.

Completely understand why she did it, and she'd certainly earned it.

But she lost all the momentum, all the confidence, all the 'fear' that you put in other players - she's barely won a match since. . . .

Looks like a typical Naomi match she blitzes first set opponent has difficulty with Naomis serve and power. Gets tight in second set loses it then disintegrates in third set Naomi is better than this

Real pity, So many good steps forward over the last year or so, but these for now cultiminated at Wimbledon rather than Wimbledon helping Naomi really push on further. Worse, she has clearly gone backwards.

Just for now got to hope that over the next couple of months she can find ways to get herself back on a good path. What she's lost can be refoubd.

I assume she took time off after Wimbledon so she could work on areas of her game so she could push on even further. Clearly it hasn't worked but you can't blame her for trying.

Well she was self coached and is still refusing the help of the LTA. So unless she has privately funded a coach via her winnings, then I doubt she has done much work on her technique.

I don't think so. From her tweets etc., I think she took time off to learn to drive and enjoy herself a bit. Which I don't blame her for in the slightest. She'd had some very lean years, worked very hard and suddenly life had come good.

But I think she lost the momentum and it didn't turn out well.

As to technique, she was at the French Mouratoglou Tennis academy place for quite while so she's had time to work on technique (not, arguably, that you can really notice . .. )

Whatever the initial ins and outs of the fall out with the LTA, I can't help wondering where Naomi would be now if the Broadys hadn't picked up their ball and ran away.

Look at the difference it's made to Liams game now. Even if his father no longer speaks to him. Which i find incredibly sad
