Optimistic about Ed's draw, Liam has a challenger to rids to but following Napa hopefully will have a plan. Fingers crossed for Marcus.

As well as breaking into the top 250 today, Liam has now more than halved his singles ranking this year - now up 238 since 31 Dec, from 473 to 235

Marcus is the second match up on 'Court1' and should be streamed here: http://new.livestream.com/ATP/charlottesville2014court1

Ed 3rd match on 'Centre' : http://new.livestream.com/ATP/charlottesville2014centrecourt

Centre by the way starts with Evan King followed by Kevin King then Ed's match against Darian King.

Also the tournament twitter retweeted an interview with Liam by Tennis East Coast

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P1TMMeBmCng - Liam Broady is on the rise to a career high ranking of #266 and has won 4 Futures titles. At halftime of the Manchester United-Chelsea match on Sunday, October 26, 2014, the up-and-coming British player spoke with Steve Fogleman about his successful summer in North America. His favorite town in the US and his favorite meal here might surprise you.

They also have a little feature about how the Brits were watching the football while the Americans watched the NFL on their website.

 Thanks for the various links, DWH. And notice of all those Kings. So, if there's a lot of ranting and raving about missed points on centre, we can talk about dramatics at the Royal Court? (Sorry)

Marcus lost 6-2 6-2.

I thought Ed and Liam would make a good doubles team, but have got with foreign partners.

He'll be first in line for a lucky loser place if King beats Giron but only 2nd in line if Giron (currently a break up in the 3rd) goes through.

Main draw updated with the new rankings:

L32: Ed Corrie WR 217 v Darian King (BAR) WR 310 (CH 302 earlier this month)
L32: Liam Broady WR 235 v (2) Tim Smyczek (USA) WR 97 (CH 73 last Nov) *

* H2H 0-1 - Smyczek won 1 & 1 in Napa last month

King did come back to beat Giron so Marcus is 1st in line for a lucky loser place should one arise - none yet.

On serve in the 2nd. Ed serving at *4-5. Mind you, they have just had 4 consecutive breaks of serve. Standard isn't great.

'isn't great' is very kind !

But Ed manages to hold (by the skin of his teeth). So 5-5
