I am certainly not a closet Jambo. I am wearing my Hearts top right now. Partick Thistle deserve a lot of credit for knocking out ICT. I was not looking forward to facing them again but the year ends in a 6 so Hearts must play in a cup final. It's fate. Hopefully.

Well just watched the hi-lights and by goodness were Hearts very lucky to win the game. Listened on the Radio and Partick played very well and just before Hearts went 2-0 Gordon made a wonderfull save !!

2-1 defeat is a defeat but it all goes well for the future !

What's all this supporting two teams rubbish? Man Utd and Stevenage? Wycombe and Chelsea?

It's just that Stevenage is my local club but just supporting them would be a little demoralising - Man Utd were the first club I ever supported - relatives all come from Manchester

Back in the old days my family used to all support Chelsea but have a little love for Fulham when they were down a division or two, now they are back no love for them etc.  I still remember going to Craven Cottage when Chelsea were playing away, but only a few times.

Also, back in the 80s used to be cool to get those Chelsea/Rangers hats.  I actually still have one somewhere, might have to dig it up and give it to the boy.  My parents were not into it, but for reasons unknown being there in the 80s I got into it and would always follow Rangers but no where near like I followed Chelsea.

Proposed at Stamford Bridge in the Shed funnily enough....and 15 years later we are still married.....lol

Not a Hearts fan but you have to wonder !!!!

Q. How do u screw up a top of the table side ?

A. Sack your manager, directors, another manager and your director of football (was in the job a month).

What a farce !!!

Yep,

1st Manager :  10 games unbeaten, top of the league  -  SACK !

2nd Manager :  still 6 points clear in 2nd place, having just maintained that gap by holding Rangers at weekend, and just 8 games to go, so looking good for qualifying for Champions League plus in semi-finals of Scottish Cup and favourites to win it , so steady as she goes  -  SACK !

3rd Manager :  Mr Yesman  ?   You, my friend, much better chance of survival.

I see a recent issue was that Romanov was insisting Rix left out Brelliier last week for the Rangers match,  having previuusly more than once been known to have made disparaging remarks about him.

Yeah, the guy just holds the midfield together and was man of the match, yet again, v Rangers. I don't think Brellier is exciting enough for Romanov, he previously apparently wanted to play Cesnauskis, Lithuanian and more of a winger in his place.

Hey, I think Makalele is a waste of space for Chelsea, think they should play Robben in the holding role, much more exciting -  well for everyone else !

It's a bit of a double-edged sword.  Without Romanov's involvement and major investment, I am sure they wouldn't be sitting in 2nd place.  However, it's such a shame for Hearts, that he constantly interferes directly in football related matters when, quite seriously, he actually appears much more clueless than your average fan.

It's all highly entertianing though

Dirty Cheating Barstards, the name all conference fans knew the DCBs by, after the infamous 'bung' affair with Torquay.

About 10 years ago, DCBs were leading the (then) Vauxall conference, but would not get promotion to the league if the won, due to some issue with their ground (which meant whoever finished bottom of the div 4 of the football league wouldn't get relegated). The team who were in second (Woking) I think, were eligable for promotion.

At that same time Torquay were anchored at the bottom of the table in the league. Stevenage had a striker who was really banging them in, and they 'invited' Torquay to pay his wages so they wouldn't be 'forced' to sell him, which might have help Woking overtake them, and thus relegate Torquay. In effect they asked for a bung from Torquay to stop them throwing the league title and let in Woking.

That's why the DCBs are so unpopular .....

Commiserations to mkkreuk on last night's result I hope your TV's still intact !!

I know a guy who's a season ticket Arsenal supporter and once they got the 2nd goal, he literally chucked the entire TV out the window.

In the sober light of the morning, he's not too happy as he's now got a broken window to pay for and a smashed-up TV set.

I've bought him a voodoo doll of Ronaldinho to comfort him

you'd have been better off buying one of the ref, that was a shocking performance at what was ment to be the club highlight match of the year.

arsenal played well, disspointed henry couldnt find the net, but valdes played well. he also worked hard coming back to help out the team too. the same ref used in braca chelsea match wand was also contraverisal, maybe it wasn't the linesman who should have been changed!

i watched the match on itv and was very disspointed by the coverage, at the end instead of some proper post match comment and a chance to look at some slo mo replays of all the interesting incidents, instead those chose to end it early and stick on some stupid outtakes program.  the didnt even have that white line trick thingy to see offsides!!
