What a fantastic place to have a tournament, hope they are both working hard and not just enjoying the view! Kyle probably deserves it having played in Bakersfield in the early part of the year. Here's hoping Liam continues with his seamless adjustment to challengers and gets through qualifying to score some points and that the main draw is a little kinder to Kyle. ?who is the number one seed in the main draw

Top players in main draw should be Querrey, Smyczek, Klahn and Kudla.
As for Bakersfield, isn't that the city that is ranked the most polluted in the US?
Kyle didn't hang around long in Bakersfield and who can blame him, this time he has no excuses! Unless of course he gets Querrey in the first round again. I assume he's playing to maintain the profile of these NorCal challengers.
A better draw this week for Kyle, although James McGee has had a great 2014 so far, at 27 and 6 years on tour he will be a good test and it makes you realise that top 200 as a teenager is no mean feat and sets you apart when you look at the majority of players between 200 and 50. As a fan I would love to see Kyle get there, but it will be interesting to see how the end of 2014 is planned out for him as obviously long term goals are more important.
Liam has had a fantastic 2014 and again I think we should be very optimistic that the next 2 years or so will bring us a couple of established top 100 players with the potential to have a significant impact on the ATP tour and regularly surviving the first week of slams.
Liam won his match against Wesley Koolhof 1 and 0. The match facts indicate that Koolhof was lucky to win a game as it's one of the most one-sided set of numbers i've ever seen.
I'll never forget the name Wesley Koolhof. He was the guy who beat Oli 2 and 0 in a $10k in Askelon, Israel early in 2013. In the second set Oli barely won a point, and was serving 2-3 DFs per service game for the whole set, whilst his opponent seemed to be serving ace after ace at the same time. It's obvious what was going on. Oli would have had an LTA coach in tow. Within days of his return, Neil Harman wrote an article which referenced the difficult life of up and coming players, such as Oli playing in Israel with the sound of missile attacks in the background.
To me, this said more about Oli and Neil Harman than it did about the difficult life of tennis players at Futures level......which as we know IS a very challenging and pressurised one. I presume Oli felt sorry for himself, and had a need to find an outlet to ensure the wider world did as well, which Mr Harman (knowing Oli was a potential top 100 player) would always provide.
A lot has happened since then. Including Liam appearing to knuckle down, improve his game, stick at it, and the rewards are slowly coming through. Well done him.
