RE: Week 40 - Australia F6 ($15,000+H) - Alice Springs (hard)

It looks like a good chance for some doubles W money along with a decent chance of winning the singles tournament. Aren't 15k+H's worth 35 points per W? Good value, if so.

Yep, 35 points for a $15k+H. Keep on rolling Brydan

Playing your doubles partner isn't easy, but Brydan should win. He has a 6-3 record and there are no seeds in the top half of the draw. Although he did lose the last time the two met in a semi in Australia earlier in the year.

Brydan's had decent form recently so I'd probably expect him to win but who ever really knows.

Brydan won from a set down. 20 points in the bag and with a player outside the top 500 in the final, a great chance for 35 points.

The race for GB No3 really hotting up.

One in the eye for the Aussies I think, if he wins this one. He appears suitably motivated. Well done him!

The last one was a Dane and this one is a Dayne, SC but this post is really just to add the (ancient) H2H details:

FINAL: (2) Brydan Klein WR 302 v Dayne Kelly (AUS) WR 554 (CH 311 in 2010)

H2H 1-1 but they haven't played each other since 2008

that's a nice title, and points, for Brydan:

FINAL: (2) Brydan Klein WR 302 def. Dayne Kelly (AUS) WR 554 (CH 311 in 2010) 6-1 6-4

Well done !

Short term, these points should move Brydan up to about WR 257, and provisionally 6th in the GB list (depending on Liam's performance in the Challie this week)

But Brydan does have a big 29-pointer coming off in a couple of weeks. So, in a way, this tournament just covers those points, keeping him at 300 or so, and it's next week's points that will make the difference.

No doubt Brydan will play that challenger again and given the form he's in, i'd expect that ranking to be defended and approaching the low 200's by the end of the year.

Yep, exactly. Anyone who predicted Brydan in the top 5 at the start of the year will probably be feeling that they're sitting pretty at the moment.
