So, we may well get to hear the MLDB roar, after all; Caitlin Whoriskey having denied us the 'pleasure' last week.
A little surprised Johanna did not stay on for this one also.

Edit: That's two rotten draws in a row for both. Naomi last week seeeded 8 as WR 140, drew the highest non seed, WR 141. This week seed 8 is WR 138, Naomi as highest non seed - just missing out at WR 141 - draws a seed.

Based on the strapping last week, and the massive problems today on serve so far - 7 DF in set 1, and just 8 total points won on serve - I 'd speculate that Tara is playing quite injured.

Clearly outstanding preparation. I seem to recall her tweeting about watching videos at 2am local time before a morning match in the USA in 2012 or 2013......a couple of weeks after she had arrived in the US, well and truly post jet lag......and I remember her barely winning a game for the first set and a half.

Time for some 10ks I think...
