Colin Fleming doubles partner

Now that Ross has retired is Fleming/Marray the new partnership or will he play with someone else

Looks like it could be the partnership going forward.

But given how last year's courtship went overall, might it be too much just a marriage of convenience ?

I guess it might come together more if there is a feeling of more permanency.

Both playing with different partners in Metz next week:  Jonny with Jamie Murray & Colin with Michael Venus.

They wouldn't have got in together as their combined rank wasn't good enough.

I do feel for Colin this season as to say that the situation with Ross has clearly been less than ideal for him would be a massive understatement.

Whether Colin and Jonny feel it is worth another go as a partnership is clearly up to the two of them but I certainly think they could both do with the stability that has been lacking this season. They might not have set the world alight as a pair but they did much better than either of them have done this year. If they do decide to go down that road I think another 3 or 4 challengers before the end of the season would be a very good idea, primarily to boost their ranking and secondly to get some wins under their belts.

Fleming/Marray partnered up for Moscow but lost in R1 by 4'6, 6'4, 7'10 to Donskoy/Rublev.

They did win the Istanbul challenger a few weeks ago, but i agree - very inconsistent results for the pairing.

I really hope the partnership with Jonny works out, but as some have commented, when they played together last year, the "chemistry" just didn't seem to work.

As an alternative, I wonder if Colin woud consider teaming up with Dom, now that it seems his partnership with Treat has come to an end. Dom definitely seems like a "leader" on court and from what I have read and heard, that is the sort of partner that Colin prefers.

The only time I can remember them playing together was in DC in the USA last year and they took a set off the Bryans, if memory serves.

Al I can recollect about that match was that Dom was a bundle of nerves it being his DC debut.
