Doesn't do it justice. She looks a lot more nervous than that....!

Isn't it supposed to be just a little bit fun?

Back on serve, *2-3. Standard of play can only improve from here.....

Very strange that Sky don't have it as their main match and choose to cover McGee instead.

I'm guessing that they will be reluctant to show the women as they don't have WTA rights for the rest of the season.

Jo goes 3-1 down but then immediately breaks back. She was really positive in attacking the returns on the points that she won so she definitely needs to keep attacking the Peer serve.

Agreed - within about 30 seconds of watching it was obvious Jo's body language could be a lot better.

I was worried about this.

She's always skittish, even at the best of times, but waiting around for the long five setter before her match to finish wouldn't have been any good for her nerves.

5 game points. 3 doubles.

Awful errors. Forehand technique in pieces, flat footed.

Just a terrible terrible set of tennis.

This could be over quickly 2-6 0-0*

Not seen as many UEs in a match since Kvitova vs Robson at the AO a couple of years back. It's better with just the sound of "Out" and the tape being hit.

2-6 0-2*. Every single point in the last game was an UE.

Meanwhile, Laura's "twin" in terms of talent level vs results, Sloane Stephens was 6-0 3-0 up against Annika Beck......blowing her away for a set and a half. Now 4-3*. Not saying Beck will win, but very possible...

I want too much for Jo to do well to watch her so reduced from what I consider her 'true' form.
This year has been a Pyrrhic victory so far, with the top 100 cracked, but scant little else, and still very many points to defend.

Needs a turn around or seismic shift in something to get back on track. Hard to know what's going wrong for her and her game to have fallen so far so fast.
Top 200 may be hard to hold on to.
I think her self-belief is unfathomably low right now and I don't want to add anything more.
Dispirited, deflated.

Still hoping... if I stop watching things will surely turn around... if I start supporting Peer, then Jo will surely win! Please?
