Injuries - and good luck wishes

Yes, all the very best to all injured players and it's good to get updates from time to time.

One thing I did notice is that our women's top 25 table indicates more overall health and activity among its constituent members than for probably many a day ( though the GB 10Ks at this time are of course helping the activity bit ).

If Gabi Taylor makes her planned seasonal debut in Spain next week everyone bar the retired Cav will have appeared this year, indeed since week 4.

Unfortunately the other side to that is Eden Silva for one is no longer in the top 25 and of course others have been very long term injured and are no longer ranked.

But I do recall times when a lot of the top 25 have been indisposed at the same time.

Just a passing 'hope the recuperation is going well' to Billy Harris.

(And, indeed, all of the others who are struggling with injuries).

Billy is on the qualifying list for the Portugal futures starting 16/05 so hopefully he will be ready for that.

However Billy has been on the lists for the last few weeks and withdrawn either around the deadline day or nearer to the event.

A quick 'best wishes' for Evan Hoyt.

Real shame not to see him on the grass, with all the others.

Injuries are such a nightmare - especially when things are just beginning to click.

All the best.

I'll second that one.

Me three. Especially as he has to get to world 300 by the end of the year.

Will post this both here and in the juniors section - but I bought the Telegraph this morning (not my paper of choice, but knew they'd have good tennis coverage) and there's an article saying that Gabi Taylor is actually quite ill, in intensive care with a mystery virus: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/tennis/2016/07/10/british-tennis-hopeful-gabriella-taylor-struck-by-serious-virus/. All best wishes to her and her family - hoping that the doctors will work out what's wrong speedily, and that she will recover quickly.

Oh my goodness.

As said, all the very best to Gabi. And to her family. Please get better soon. Wimbledon Juniors doesn't really matter in the big picture. Nor does tennis in general.

Allez doctors !

So glad to hear that! Hope she continues to feel better and that it's all sorted out. Thanks, wimbledont (and thanks to Ms Taylor for tweeting)
