I don't think Liam and Luke had much choice - I got the impression that it was part of their NTC programming this year to do the US tour, sent down from on high.
Mind you, there are some interesting first-round match ups.

Hewitt's scheduling is so random that I sometimes forget all about him. As for Liam and Luke and their summer away from grass, lets just say that I am less than impressed and leave it at that.

Re Luke and Liam, I think 'bizarre' was the word I used a few weeks ago - and that was being polite . . . I know some people see it differently though.
Re the draw, the top half seems a fair bit stronger than the lower half.
Bloomfield or Goodall might have a small chance to pull of what Danny Sapford did all those years ago and go through pre-qualifying and get into the main draw, at the last gasps of their careers when they have nothing to lose.
None of the younger guys, except perhaps JWH (who'll probably lose to Goodall) have any chance of winning a round in qualifying.

Glasspool is another real 'wildcard' in the pack - I would love to see him get through to the semis, at least (no disrespect to the others).

Were it not for the fact that he has probably had no grass court practice I would have considered JWH heavy favourite to beat Goodall and I still think he should win. I am afraid that the idea of Goodall going all the way through to the main draw is pie in the sky.

I don't disagree. I just meant that all the pressure is off Goodall and Bloomfield. Bloomfield even has experience winning a round at Wimbledon. But yes, I very much doubt they or anyone else from this group will get anywhere near the main draw
Yes, I quite fancy Coupland in his match. On any surface he seems more comfortable than most coming into the court to finish off a point. Also got a big serve.
