Decent, straightforward looking win.

Though I'm actually none the wiser as to how Mr Grills, aged 19 later this month, WR 733 and JCH of 82 in his final junior year, and who evidently just got into the main draw, was ever an 'awkward' opponent.

I expected with a decent junior ranking and a progressive WR, he may have been slightly underranked. I'm guessing I'm wrong.

He could have had far easier draws on paper indiana... at least that was how I read it!

Alex was 1-4 down in the TB. Then, next time I looked, 3-6 down.

Saved three set points. Had his own set point at 7-6, lost it, another at 8-7 - and finally got it !!!

OK, Alex, a rather more neat and tidy second set wrap-up would be now in order :)

And, as ordered, Alex takes the second set 6-2 :)

GSM 7-6(7), 6-2
