Week 24 - ATP World Tour 250 - Queen's Club, UK (Grass)

Andy (who no doubt will get his own thread in the AM section) should be one of the top seeds in the main draw and GB nos. 2-4 (Evo, James and Dan C) all have main draw wild cards too.

I haven't included the non-GB matches below but I have left gaps between qualifying sections to make it easier to guess where the non-GB matches fit it. It also doesn't seem worth including CHs for QR1 matches when so many of the Brits are massively outranked even by their opponents' current rankings, though it might be worth adding more detail like that for the remaining rounds.

QR1: (wc) Miles Bugby WR 1541 v Luke Saville (AUS) WR 233
QR1: James Marsalek WR 775 v Keelan Oakley WR 1300
QR1: Dom Inglot WR 948 v (q6) Farrukh Dustov (UZB) WR 147

QR1: (wc) Joe Salisbury WR 1592 v (q2) Ryan Harrison (USA) WR 125
QR1: Josh Goodall WR 586 v Rémi Boutillier (FRA) WR 536

QR1: (wc) Adam Thornton-Brown WR 1363 v (q3) Daniel Brands (GER) WR 131
QR1: Myles Orton WR 1111 v Theodoros Angelinos (GRE) WR 271
QR1: George Coupland WR 740 v (q7) Alex Bogomolov Jr (RUS) WR 152

QR1: (wc) Harry Skinner WR 2015 v (q4) Marsel Ilhan (TUR) WR 141
QR1: Alex Jhun WR 1270 v Benjamin Mitchell (AUS) WR 241
QR1: Jonny O'Mara WR 966 v Takanyi Garanganga (ZIM) WR 292

I was just thinking that a 10:00AM start on grass was pretty early.

Myles Orton took the 1st set against Angelinos 6-2 and was 2 points away from a career best scalp in the 2nd set tiebreak at *5-4 but it's now *9-9

QR1: Myles Orton WR 1111 beat Theodoros Angelinos (GRE) WR 271 by 6-2 7-6(11)

He'll play Adam's conqueror Brands in QR2.

Great win for Myles, pity it won't get him anything unless he wins an even tougher second round match.

Terrific win for Miles. As RJA says though, a real pity there are no rankings points at all for the win. But hopefully his confidence (and his bank balance) will get a boost from the result.

There is the LTA bonus scheme money if he can win another round.

Dom the Bomb is going well. I wish he would play more singles.

Dom is a set up (7-5) and 4-4 in the 2nd. Could have been even better though as Dustov has just saved 6 BPs in his last service game.

This time it is Dom's turn to save BPs (2 of them) but he serves out the game to lead 5-4*

Struggling on serve a bit though. Only 18 aces so far LOL.
