No surprise that Joe Cooper lost his FQR against the gut who beat Dan Cox a few months ago.

But Joe got a LL spot and a great draw against another qualifier.

He's not managing to take advantage of it yet (lost the first 6-1, 1-1 in the second) but good to get another match, and a small cheque.

Bruce and Nico Rosenweig won their doubles match yesterday. Joe and partner lost his.

R1:  (WC) Oleksandr Chernov & Dmytro Kamynin (UKR/UKR) UNR vs Nicolas Rosenzweig (FRA) & Bruce Strachan CR (acc. to the PDF) 3209 (NR's current doubles ranking is 1767, while Bruce, if the ATP is to be believed, is currently unranked, yet he's apparently +1457 this week! confuse  His CH is 1248 - June last year)

Surprised how long odds you can get on Bruce. 11/4 against a player ranked below him seems strange
