The first 9 games of Katie's match went hold-break-break hold-break-break hold-break-break, with Katie going a break up the first and third times, but then 3 holds in a row took the 1st set into a tiebreak.

Kaminkova is playing only her 2nd ITF pro event since 2012 - she qualified and reached R2 at the last one too.

oh no !!!

Katie was doing fine, winning the first set, got pegged back and has now retired.

With the RG Juniors next week, FINGERS CROSSED she's not injured. . . .

Katie is "all good, just a bit ill" according to her tweets this evening (not about the ill bit, obviously, but given that something had to be wrong, that's probably the least worrying option!)
