I think making the main draw was the big achievement. Anything else is a bonus.

I think James may pinch a set.

Yets, yabadabadoo, first British men's RG qualifier in more than 40 years is great.

But don't just treat anything further as a bonus. Seek it, want it and hope for any advantage to come your way. Anyway, I hope that that's how James looks at it.

Gotta be in it to win it, Ward has taken a set off Fognini on clay this year so...

If he's on a decent court with a crowd, I think he could get a set. Depends which Wardy comes out to play, but it is the French Open!

Ok. I Am officially not a happy bunny. There are tickets available but RG has no ticket office. Tickets can only be bought online and at least 24 hours in advance. There are plenty of other unhappy people wandering around.

The advice from the information desk was go to McDonalds for free wifi and try to buy some through viagogo.fr. It would be safe to say I am completely "insert swear word" off. France is off my bucket list. Been there, done that and even the T shirt didn't fit.

What a ridiculous system. Apart from people like yourself who turn up expecting to be able to buy tickets, what about people who are not online? There are still some, I know one or two.

James held his first service game after being down 0-30. Good lad. Unfortunately I won't be able to watch much of this.
