Just 28 players in the main draw here, but we'll be lucky to get more than one Brit through (or perhaps even one, though Yuriko is the lower-ranked Miyazaki), I think. That said, Bojanic is very up and down and Dasha was competitive against her opponent last week, so you never know!

Just noticed an oddity while putting these matches on the T25 table - I had Dasha down as a late withdrawal from this event last Thursday but she had turned up in the draw anyway.

There are guaranteed Brits in the semis of the doubles: Antonia+ play Dasha+ in round 1 and the winners play Lucy and Jess in the QF

The enigma that is Miss Brown took the first set 6-3, but is currently 0-5 in the second set.

I've never seen a player lead so many matches by a break or more and fail to win the match. I think she needs to go and see Dr. Steve Peters......

Lucy was 2-5 down in the third set (having lost the second 1-6). Now back to 4-5*

Dasha putting up a LOT better display than against the same player last week:

lost the first 4-6, won the second 6-3, now into a third . . .

Lucy lost 6-4 in the third, Antonia lost 6-0 6-1

Dasha however is 4-1 up in the final set and Jess is serving for the first set.
