Week 21 - Tunisia F2 ($10,000) - Sousse (Hard)

It looks like Imran Aswat has made it into the main draw here.

QR1: Joe Cooper UNR v Aaron Cortés Alcaraz (ESP) UNR

FQR: Winner of the match above v (q5) Francesco Bessire (ITA) WR 2139 (CH 2056 last Sep)
FQR:(q7) David Porter WR 2212 v Olivier Duberville (FRA) UNR (CH 1177 in 2011) or Pavel Snobel (CZE) UNR (CH 154 in 2009)

Who'd have thought you might have to play a former top 200 player to qualify for a 10K Futures event in Tunisia ... cry

I'd definitely heard of Snobel - I don't usually look up CHs for either/ors in qualifying, but I was sure I recognised him as an ex-top 500 player so I did check this time. Even then I was surprised to find he'd been quite as high as he actually had!

Good lad - more points for Imran. He could make top 1000.

That's Imran's first double bagel win on the Futures circuit

Rémi won the tournament last week in Tunisia, without losing a set. Tough match for Imran . . . .
