Is there a fee for Nottingham? Planning on going this year, also anyone know how close it is to the train station?
Free, great venue, very friendly, but not sure how close it is to a train station, its about 2 miles from the centre.
Can't remember the number but you can get a bus from statiion to tennis centre as it's near part of the uni. Also free parking on site. Part of the Notts Festival of tennis with BTs running alongside the grass events and tennis events for local schools. They really try and make something of these tournaments and it's well worth going.
Louie - years ago when I went you had to get a no.12 bus from near the train station to Highfields and then you were not far off, but as I say it was years ago so may have changed. Hopefully will be going myself on the Wednesday.
How many british Wildcards are there normally for Nottingham?
They obviously may not be all British but there are a total of four wild cards to challengers. With Dan Evans and James Ward getting Queens wild cards (maybe more Brits to come?) it makes the 2nd week of Nottingham more interesting for those further down the rankings. To date only Dan S is a direct entrant.

As a Uni of Nottingham resident I would probably recommend getting either the 18, 20 or V10 bus down to the Tennis Centre. There are plenty of buses that head down in that direction but these are less likely to be full of students.
