Kyle looks a lot happier now (and do most/all of us probably!)

6-7(3) 7-6(3)

Bolleli is a bloody good player and has loads of experience but I expect Kyle to give him a run for his money.
I think it will be a close 3 setter and hopefully Kyle can come on top!

You couldn't get much closer than two tie breaks.

Come on Kyle....

Kyle takes it 7-3 with a mini break and a huge ace down the T! Great fight as in my opinion Bolelli has looked more dangerous for much of the match.

I have to agree with you Jaffa, though his level in the 2nd tb did drop somewhat.  I like the way Kyle managed to hang in there and manage to make it to the tb.  He played an excellent first point, enough to give Bolelli something to think about!

2hrs 10 mins so , a long match...

Two DFs and two UEs is not an ideal start.....His serve has not been great today.  Early break down,  1-0

Kyle's footwork looking very tired now. I fear this could run away very quickly.

Indeed it was - Kyle gets bagelled in the final set.

Great week for him though!

Ran out of gas by the look of it - but a very good week for Kyle. More of the same please!

A disappointing final set for sure, but this is all part of the learning process.  5 wins in a week is good going!

Does he get an SE for Ostrava?  He'll have to get his skates on, can't see how he can play tomorrow....

Not what I was hoping to see. Better luck next week maybe.

Would only get SE if he won. Entered both Ostrava and Tunis and could play either qualifier or decide to play neither.

I recall a young very talented player, who in his early days seemingly couldn't last the pace.

He certainly sorted that out and has a very positive record in matches that have gone to 5 sets including quite a number where he was two sets down.

I am pretty sure that Kyle will put in the necessary work. For now, the more significant thing is how good is he at his best ? Goood !
