Good to see Amanda's name again. I assume ic she stays in she will be in the main draw.

Another week, another port of call for Emily. Counting this current week she will have scored at least one ranking point in 33 tournaments in the last year. I am sure far more one pointers than she would have liked, but she still just seems to love playing tennis. Good luck to her.

After criticising the LTA for putting on 25K's with very few main draw entries, i see that the 10K in Gloucester is not particulary well populated by GB players.

Jade, EWS, Katy and Lucy have made main draw. Manisha probably will - Katie Boulter might. Sam Murray and Anna Smith have withdrawn.

Well, Sam really isn't a 10K player when on form. There are a limited number of true GB 10K MD girls.

I think a good point re you advocating more 10Ks was that they would allow more GB girls a chance to be competitive in qualifying and then maybe even in the main drae.

A lot of our best youngsters will make the draw though some by wild card. Dunne, Dart, Boulter, Christie, Silva, Askew are all there.

The draws in the doubles ATPs are interesting: 1-3 and 1-4 seeds very nasty, but otherwise some very winnable first rounds. Hope for a kindly draw for the Skupskis in particular.

Fran has not withdrawn from Gloucester, so maybe we will she her comeback next week.

Just Lisa left, but we might be a month or so away from her return.

Fran played the British Tour last week so looks like ageist back. Eleanor may be out for some time as she is on entry lists in April. For someone do promising it's really hard to find news on her.

It will be interesting to see who they give the wildcards to at Gloucester.

Katie B - looks like she has made the main draw. So the candidates for wildcards are:

Jess Simpson, Freya, Harriet, Fran, Eden, Beth, Lauren and Jasmine - is Jess Ren injured?

I would suggest Freya, Harriet, Eden and Jasmine.

Jess and Beth have had a fair few wildcards, Fran is coming back from injury and may want the matches at qualis. Lauren rarely seems to get a wildcard(similarly with Jazzamay - maybe their face doesn't fit)

British winners of Grade 1 British Tour events are also entitled to an MD wild card in a UK 10K event.  This year (I think) that's been Lucy B, Eden S and Nicole Peterson.  Don't know if any of them have already taken them.

Wildcards are out for Gloucester:

Eden Silva, Nicola George, Georgina Axon and Jasmine Aghar

Looks like Freya, Jess Simpson, Harriet, Fran, Beth and Lauren will have to go through qualis, but virtually all will be seeded and should avoid each other.

Jade and Katy set to be seeded

9 GB girls in main draw and i'd expect at least 5 to come through qualifying, so we should see plenty of points this week.

Just 22 entrants in Senegal for a 15K - Emily will be fourth seed and should pick up some good points and will probably get a first round bye.

Would be nice if Jasmine got a reasonable draw and a first round win. SHe only needs one more counter, I think, to get her ranking. ANd with 7 points already, coming in at 8 (or more) would be very nice.
