Not sure why the Russian got a wild card - he's not an up-and-coming junior or anything like that. Hopefully an easy R1 for Richard, then, but unfortunately he is in the same quarter as top seed Coppejans.

19-year-old Licciardi reached the final from qualifying here two weeks ago and jumped 139 places to a new career high today as a result.

I sincerely hope Jonny proves to be the "healthy doubles partner" for whom he was crying out last week.
