Horrible draw for Shorty again...

Oli could have got an easier draw as well.

Oli draws Kyle's partner in crime from juniors.

Can't believe Matt's drawn Gil again.

Doubt they'll get any further...

Does Oli need a bit of a break?

L32: (6) Oli Golding WR 362 lost to Frederico Ferreira Silva (POR) WR 593 (= CH) by 1 & 0

At least, I assume that was the final score - that would mean 13 games were played, while ITF livescores says 14 games were layed and the final score was 5-1 6-0, i.e. 12 games - the latter has to be wrong though!

I thought this would be a tough match but that score is a bit of a shocker.

Hopefully a minor blip, could be a blessing in disguise.

Wow that's a disappointing scoreline. I know oli has played a lot of matches in a short amount of time but surely he should be putting up more of a fight than that?

(1) Mr Golding played a ridiculous number of matches towards the end of last week, clearly being exhausted by the time he was finished. (2) Ferreiro Silva is a good player. There may be other factors, too, but those two would be sufficient in and of themselves.

Time for a rest ... and a bit of time to recoup.
