Week 8 - Thailand F2 ($10,000) - Nonthaburi (Hard)

Marcus & Lewis should be in the main draw.

QR1: (q14) Miles Bugby WR 1372 v (wc) Suthinan Tanthaseraneewat (THA) UNR

Unfortunately, the winner is likely to face top seed Wachiramanowong WR 828 in the FQR.

QR1: (q14) Miles Bugby WR 1372 beat (wc) Suthinan Tanthaseraneewat (THA) UNR : 6-2, 6-3

FQR: (q14) Miles Bugby WR 1372 v (q1) Kittiphong Wachiramanowong WR 828

But the bad news is that 4 hours ago Miles tweeted

"For someone that looks after their body as well as I do, it's astounding how I keep getting injured. 1st point last round Qs #hipflexordone"

L32: (4) Marcus Willis WR 387 v Hyeon Chung (KOR) WR 542
L32: Lewis Burton WR 778 v (3) Ivo Kleck (SVK) WR 386

Tough draw for both. Chung is a talented 17 year old who reached the Boys final at Wimbledon last year beating Kyrgios and Coric.

And I'm sure he won last week's event

He did indeed win F1, which has just finished, and thrashed Gong (the player who beat Marcus in the QFs) 0 & 1 in the semis on the way. He is a top 20 (former top 10 junior), while Klec (no second "k") is a former top 200 player, CH 184 in 2006. Horrible draws indeed.

That's an excellent win for Marcus He has a ridiculous draw for a seed though - having beaten last week's winner in R1, he gets last week's runner-up in R2!

L32: (4) Marcus Willis WR 389 beat Chung Hyeon (KOR) WR 541 (CH 490 in Oct; junior no. 19) by 5-7 6-3 6-4
L32: Lewis Burton WR 790 v (3) Ivo Klec (SVK) WR 388 (CH 184 in 2006) - Tuesday

L16: (4) Marcus Willis WR 389 v Nam Ji-Sung (KOR) WR 568 (CH 372 in Jun)

Nightmare draw but my mindset is changing in singles need quality opponents rather than just focusing on points .

Marcus tends to raise his game against tough opponents and I think he's capable of getting some good results in challengers
